Frequently asked questions
Do I have to move my domain to nsin?
No. Your domain stays registered where it is. You only change its two nameservers to the pair your dashboard shows, or keep your current DNS provider and use External DNS mode with a CNAME record.
Will my site go down while nameservers change?
No. nsin copies your existing records first, so both the old and the new nameservers give the same answers while the change spreads.
What is the difference between proxied and DNS-only?
Proxied records route traffic through nsin for caching, protection and SSL, and hide your origin IP. DNS-only records answer with the real target. MX records must be DNS-only or email breaks.
Can I manage DNS records from code?
Yes. Every DNS action in the panel is a REST endpoint, and the MCP server lets an AI assistant list, create, update or delete records for you.
