FAQFrequently asked questions
Quick answers about domains, plans, caching, SSL, billing and support.
Getting started
What is nsin?
nsin is a content delivery network (CDN). You add your domain, point its DNS at the nsin edge, and nsin caches and proxies your traffic with free SSL, a firewall, rules and analytics, all managed from one panel.
How do I add a domain?
Sign in to the panel, open Domains and click Add Domain. Enter your root domain, such as example.com. Subdomains are DNS records you manage inside the panel once the domain exists.
How do I point my DNS to nsin?
With Managed DNS, change your domain's nameservers at your registrar to the two nameservers your dashboard shows. With External DNS, keep your current DNS provider and add the CNAME or A records nsin gives you. The domain stays pending until the change is seen.
Does every new domain get a plan automatically?
Yes. A new domain starts on the Free plan. You can upgrade each domain separately from Plans or Subscription in the panel.
Do I need to change my code or my server?
No. nsin works at the DNS and network layer. There is no SDK, no agent and nothing to install on your server.
Plans & billing
Are plans per account or per domain?
Per domain. Each domain has its own plan, with its own traffic quota and features. Your wallet is shared across all your domains.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Every new domain starts on the Free plan, which renews automatically at no cost. You can upgrade a domain at any time.
How does the wallet work?
Your account has one wallet balance in Toman. You top it up through the payment gateway and it pays for plan purchases and renewals per domain. Traffic beyond a plan's included quota is charged to the wallet at pay-as-you-go rates.
How is traffic billed?
Each plan includes a traffic quota. Above it, traffic is pay-as-you-go, and traffic served from the cache is billed at the lowest rate.
What happens when my plan expires?
The domain may enter a grace period, depending on the plan term. After the grace period it loses paid features until you renew or buy a plan again.
Where can I see invoices?
Open Wallet or Invoices in the panel, for the account or for one domain. Plan invoices are issued at purchase and renewal.
CDN, cache & SSL
What is the difference between cached and bypass traffic?
Cached traffic is served from the nsin edge without touching your server, so it is faster and lighter on your origin. Bypass traffic is forwarded to your server on every request, which suits dynamic or personal content.
How do cache rules work?
Cache rules decide what is stored at the edge, by path, file extension, query string and cookies. A rule can cover all subdomains or selected ones. You can purge the cache from the panel when you need fresh content at once.
Which cache headers from my server does nsin obey?
The standard Cache-Control directives: max-age, s-maxage, no-store, no-cache, private, must-revalidate, stale-while-revalidate, stale-if-error and immutable. nsin also reads Expires and Age.
When will nsin not cache, whatever my rule says?
Requests that are not GET or HEAD, requests with an Authorization header, responses that set a cookie, and responses marked no-store or private are never cached. WordPress admin and login paths are bypassed too.
What happens when my server sends no Cache-Control header?
nsin uses the refresh interval of your cache rule. A header from your server always wins when it is present.
Can I use my own SSL certificate?
Yes. Upload it in the domain's SSL section. Otherwise nsin issues and renews a free certificate for you automatically.
Analytics & support
Where do I see bandwidth and requests?
Open Monitoring inside a domain, or the Domains overview for a summary across domains. You can look at periods from a few hours to 30 days.
Why do nsin's numbers differ from my server logs?
nsin counts requests at the edge, including cache hits that never reach your server. Bots and blocked requests also appear in nsin's numbers and not in your server's access log.
How do I contact support?
Call +98 21 9200 3496, email support@nsin.ir, or open a ticket from Support in the panel. Include your domain name and a clear description of the problem.
