Sharing a Domain

You can let other nsin accounts work on your domain without sharing your password. Each person gets their own login and a role that decides what they may do.

You’ll find this under Members (or Sharing) in the domain’s settings.

The roles

Role	Can do
Owner	Everything, including billing, deleting the domain, and managing members. There is exactly one owner: whoever added the domain.
Admin	Everything except billing and deleting the domain — including inviting and removing other members.
Editor	Change DNS records, rules, cache and certificates. Cannot manage members.
Viewer	Read-only: see the configuration and analytics, change nothing.

Ownership isn’t grantable — it always follows the account that added the domain.

Tip

Give an agency or freelancer Editor. It covers everything they need for the site itself and keeps billing and access control with you.

Invite someone

1. Open the domain → Members.
2. Click Invite.
3. Enter the person’s email address and pick a role.
4. Send.

They get an invitation link. When they accept it — signing up first if they’re new to nsin — they appear in your member list.

An email invitation is tied to that address: it can only be accepted by an account using it. You can resend it if it got lost, or revoke it while it’s still pending.

Invitations expire. If one runs out before it’s used, send a new one.

Change or remove access

• Change a role — pick a different role next to the member’s name. It takes effect immediately.
• Remove someone — they lose access at once, along with any API keys they were using against this domain.

Notifications

Each member chooses which notifications they receive for the domain:

• Domain status — activation, delegation and status changes.
• Uptime — outage incidents.
• Certificates — issuance and expiry warnings for SSL.

That’s per person, so your developer can watch uptime without you being copied on everything.

Sharing and API keys

An API key acts as the person who created it, so it inherits their role on every shared domain. A viewer’s key can read a shared domain but never change it — even a full-access key. Remove the member and their keys lose access to your domain too.

Common questions

Can two people own a domain? No. One owner, plus as many admins as you like — an admin can do everything except billing and deleting the domain.

Does a member see my other domains? No. Access is granted per domain.

Who pays? The owner. Members can’t buy, switch or renew a plan, and cannot spend from your wallet. See Plans.
